Southern California native, and Christian Hip-Hop artist Chris Sandoe, is set to release his newest single “Kobe Bryant” on March 19th. This Is the second song in a sports themed set of releases planned by Chris. Chris refers to the idea of this theme as “Heroes & Legends”. The new song was actually slated to release last month on 02/24/21 in an attempt to honor the passing of Kobe and his daughter Gianna, but Chris had an issue with his distribution company, and thus had to push back the release date. This new single is influenced by the late Laker Legend’s work ethic, determination, and will to succeed. Chris relates these attributes to his o desire to honor God, and to put in work toward building the Lord’s Kingdom. The tune has a very catchy hook, and the beat goes extremely well with the witty, thoughtful lyrics. Chris is hoping to continue off of the momentum and success of his last release “Steph Curry (All Glory)”. The last single was able to achieve some modest success, hitting #42 on the US ITunes sales charts in its first week, and also surprisingly reaching #2 on the ITunes Hip-Hop charts in South Africa. Chris mentioned that he is actually donating the proceeds from his last single’s first 3 months worth of sales and streaming revenue to Steph and Ayesha Curry’s foundation “Eat.Learn.Play” on the 22nd of this month, and which will also aid in combating child hunger.
